Hello! I like Doctor Who, getting letters in the mail, music and studying music, cracking the spines of new books, Foals, Top Gear, Matthew Gray Gubler, playing guitar, going to good art shows, singing in empty bathtubs, my stage band, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, Criminal Minds and other crime scene shows, watching people's reactions to my TARDIS ringtone, David Fincher's films, twitter, brass bands, ready smiles and the most amazing dream: racoons and wolves and flying and falling and ghosts and basements and bowties and cuddling and you were all there.

I'm really nice and at the moment I've just recently joined Livejournal - I don't really know anything - so if you want to lend me a hand or like the same things as me? - feel free to friend me! ♥

Let us Compare Mythologies  Part 1 | Part 2 by cjmarlowe
(Jared/Jensen, pg-13 | Traffic had apparently always been light on Peter Street, thanks to its perpetual bad repair, so most days Jensen had a clear view right in the front window of the bookstore. When he wasn't writing - which he definitely hadn't been when he'd first come in - he could just sit and people watch through the class. Or person watch, as was very quickly the case, even if Jensen wasn't quite prepared to own up to it.)

Bookstores and coffee and entirely too adorable, I love this fic because of how light and lovely it feels. It's like a little piece of treasure! ♥

Starting for Home
 by fleshflutter
(Sam/Dean, nc-17 | The swirl of water that disappears down the drain is stained reddish-brown like old blood. Sam hadn't realised the weight of the road-dirt he'd been wearing until it's washed away and he can breathe again. He curls an arm about Dean, keeping him close under the water, and rubs his thumb along his cheekbone, smearing through the grime to the fresh, freckled skin beneath.)

I always mean to write - I really do. But I never seem to get around to it ever. All these years that I've been reading other people's works and it's never occurred to me to just rec some of them. Starting for Home is my favourite - of all the pieces I've read, I would gladly read this again and again and again. The language in it is just sublime and the characterisation of Sam and Dean is so real. And I know this was written a while back, but I love this so much.
